As an Orthodox Christian Psychologist, Dr. Xenia is deeply committed to a therapeutic practice that flows out of her Orthodox Christian faith and abides in the teachings of the Holy Fathers.
She received her Ph.D. from Colorado State University. Dr. Xenia works with adult clients on a variety of different issues including depression, insomnia, anxiety and panic, PTSD, anger, relationships, parenting, and many other concerns. She truly loves her profession. She considers it an honor to journey with her clients as they strive to improve themselves, their life, and their relationships.
One of the most valuable aspects of therapy is being able to get honest, caring feedback from another human being, especially one that can serve as an "outside observer." Dr. Xenia believes that therapy works best when a strong, honest relationship is combined with an evidence-based approach.
As such, she draws from a number of well-researched techniques such as, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy. She is a certified provider for Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure, proven treatments for PTSD, and has specialized training in the treatment of Insomnia.
