This offering is the fruit of a three-day conference hosted by Patristic Nectar Publications, a collaboration of many clergy-scholars including the Keynote speaker - His Grace, Bishop Irenei of London, as well as Archimandrite Maximos Constas, Father Calinic Berger, Father Chad Hatfield, and Father John Parker.  The lectures in this offering are dedicated to an edifying examination of the Great Feasts of the Mother of God, as well as additional lectures on particular aspects of the life of the Most Holy Theotokos, and her role in the lives of Christian believers.  Opening remarks with a letter from Metropolitan Joseph and closing remarks, as well as the Q&A sessions are included.

About the Authors

HIS GRACE IRENEI was appointed Bishop of London and Western Europe by decision of the Holy Synod on 7th / 20th September 2018. Previously he had been Bishop of Sacramento, Vicar of the Western American Diocese, and had served as Administrator of the Diocese of Great Britain and Ireland from 2017.

FATHER JOSIAH TRENHAM is a native Southern Californian. He was ordained to the Holy Priesthood in 1993, and was awarded the Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Durham, England, in 2004. He has served as pastor of St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Riverside, Ca. since 1998.  Father Josiah was married in 1988, and has ten children.

FATHER MAXIMOS CONSTAS is the Interim Dean of Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.  Fr. Maximos is an internationally recognized scholar with expertise in the theology of the Church Fathers, and has been serving as Senior Research Scholar at Holy Cross since 2011. He has published extensively and lectured widely.

FATHER CALINIC was born in Detroit, Michigan and baptized by his maternal grandfather at the St. Simion Romanian Orthodox Church.  In 1969 his family moved to California.  As a child and as a teen he attended the Orthodox Church of the Redeemer in Los Altos Hills, California where he formed the desire to serve God as a priest.
